Being a “self-proclaimed” international student in that I grew up in Canada and spent the previous 8 years in Guam (a US territory in the Pacific islands), I understand some of the pleasures and difficulties many of our international applicants face. I love working alongside international students while applying to Dallas Seminary. I honestly believe that I have the best job on campus!

My parents became missionaries to Canada when I was 5 years old. I grew up delivering newspapers in those cold Canadian winters. Upon graduating with my BA in education, I moved to Guam, USA to be a teacher. I taught for 6 years and worked at a Bible College for one year (where I met my husband), and even was a waitress at a local restaurant for one year.

My husband and I desire to teach in a seminary or Bible college overseas once we complete our training here at DTS.

What are your hobbies or outside interests?
I love reading the Bible, running, any outdoor activity, and spending quality time with my husband or with a small group of friends.

What made you decide to go to DTS?
The president of Pacific Islands Bible College in Guam is a DTS alumnus, whom my husband and I greatly respect.

What do you do on your day off?
spend time with friends

What are your favorite foods?
Raspberry yogurt, peanut butter, ice cream

What is your favorite television show of all time?
I have to pick the Cosby Show…. If I must admit it.

What is the best part about working in the DTS admissions office?
God has given us a real “team” atmosphere where we work to serve you and each other. We are in many ways a family.

What is your favorite musical artist/group/genre of music?
It’s got to be Casting Crowns, Third Day, and an eclectic mix of some things you have probably never heard of.

Who is your favorite Bible character and why?
Definitely Daniel. He was amazingly resolute and disciplined. I am weak in these areas and his life is always a challenge to me. Oh, and who couldn’t like the spontaneity of Peter, although it got him into a lot of trouble.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
I would probably live in a French-speaking country, or maybe Japan, or Thailand, or Nepal...or...

If you could have superhero powers, what would they be?
I would love to be able to fly or reach through glass when I lock the keys in the car.
