Tuition Management Systems (TMS) Monthly Payment Plan - Dallas Seminary wants to help students budget for the cost of their education, limit borrowing, and conserve savings. A payment plan of equal, interest-free monthly payments allows students at all campuses to spread educational expenses over the academic year. The plan can be used for tuition and fees, DTS Bookcenter book purchases, and meal plans charged on your DTS student account. Plans Available - A payment plan may be taken out for Fall only, Spring only, Fall through Summer, or Summer only. If your DTS semester bill exceeds the maximum budget amount for the semester(s), the remaining balance must be paid to DTS by the payment deadline for the semester.

- 3 month Example: Your Summer bill is $3000.00, you enroll in a TMS payment plan for $3000. Your monthly payments would be $1,000 ($3000/3).
- 5 month Example: Your Fall bill is $5,000, you enroll in a TMS payment plan for $5,000. Your monthly payments would be $1,000 ($5000/5). If you need TMS for the Spring semester, you would need to enroll in another payment plan. If you need TMS for Winter, you want to include it with Fall, but not exceed the $6000 limit.
- 10 month Example: Your Fall bill is $4,800, Winter estimate is $1,200, Spring estimate is $4,800 and Summer estimate is $1,200. You enroll in a 10 month plan for $12,000 with $6000 for your Fall/Winter (Term1) and $6000 for your Spring/Summer (Term2). Your monthly payments would be $1200 ($12000/10).
- Note: The amount of your payment plan is applied to your DTS student account as a payment under the heading “TMS Budget Received.” Your plan amount will be applied to your account prior to the payment deadline of the semester. Enrollment after the payment deadline of a semester will be applied within a week of enrollment.
- Adjustments: Adjustments can be made to increase or decrease your TMS budget throughout the semester by contacting the DTS Bursar. Adjustments must be requested by the 15th of each month to be effective for the next month's payment and are applied to your DTS student account within a week of the adjustment.
- Books/Meal Plans: Book purchases are for those purchased only at the DTS Bookcenter. Please email the DTS Bursar (srosenbeck@dts.edu) to have a portion of your TMS budget transferred from your student account to a DTS bookstore account. Once the amount is transferred, you would be able to purchase books at the DTS Bookcenter. Meal plans are for those meal plans that are chosen online during the registration process.
Enrollment: Please go to www.afford.com/dts/, view payment options, monthly payment plans or call TMS at 1-800-722-4867. The TMS enrollment fee must be paid at the time of enrollment. Please remember TMS enrollment is not complete until your enrollment fee has been paid.
Payments - Enrollment after July 31 (Fall), December 31 (Spring), April 19 (Summer) requires the first month's payment to be made at the time of enrollment. Monthly payments are made payable to TMS and can be done by:
- ONLINE/BY PHONE DEBIT/CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS OR ELECTRONIC CHECK: TMS does not accept VISA debit/credit cards. If you pay by debit/credit card to TMS, you will be charged a percentage convenience fee. If you pay by electronic check from a checking account or statement savings account, you will be charged a $5.00 convenience fee.* These fees are in addition to your monthly payment. DTS does not receive any of the convenience fees.
- ACH (AUTOMATIC DRAFT) PAYMENTS – No additional fees are assessed.* Must contact TMS to enroll.

Delinquent Monthly Payments: You will be charged a late fee of $15.00* if you are late with your monthly payment. A hold will be placed on your DTS student account until payments are made current. If you become three months delinquent in payments, you will be terminated from the TMS payment plan and the remaining balance will be due immediately to DTS. If you are terminated from TMS, your classes may be dropped due to nonpayment, your meal plan may be adjusted accordingly, and your bookstore account may be adjusted accordingly.
