Markene M. Meyer

Associate Director, Spiritual Formation and Leadership

BA, Baylor University, 1983; BS, University of Texas at Arlington, 1988; Dallas Theological Seminary, MA/CE, 2009

Over the years, Markene has mentored and taught women in various ministry contexts, including the college campus, the local church, inner city ministry and the seminary community. Her passion is equipping and discipleship, “equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:12).” Markene enjoys coaching and developing ministry leaders—helping them discover identity, meaning, purpose and belonging in the context of God’s greater story of redemption and grace through Jesus Christ, and how they can contribute to the building up of the body of Christ and uniquely image him in a lost and broken world. She enjoys encouraging others in a lifetime of dependence on Christ that brings healing and restoration in areas of brokenness, and growth in love for God and others. At Dallas Seminary, she is responsible for co-leadership and development of the Spiritual Formation ministry. She spends as much time as possible coaching, mentoring and teaching Spiritual Formation Fellows, SF group leaders and students. Markene and her husband, Jeff, have three children and worship in a local Anglican church.
