BA, Journalism, Penn State University, 2006; ThM, Old Testament/Hermeneutics, Dallas Theological Seminary, Current Student
Serving with DTS since: Summer 2013
Well, hello there! So glad you've stopped to meet us here in the DTS Admissions Office. I am a current student in the Masters in Theology program and planning to graduate in Spring 2017. I am a TeleCounselor on Team Admissions and have the privilege of speaking with our lovely prospective women students.
DTS is more like an extended family than a graduate school. I've been so blessed by the love and attention that students and professors extend to one another. This place is truly filled with the love and kindness of Christ.
If you’re considering DTS, don’t wait! I highly recommend visiting, especially for one of our Day at DTS events.
What are your hobbies or outside interests?
Writing poetry and fiction; L-O-V-E sports, especially football; traveling has become a passion of mine as well, and taking pictures of the people and places I see.
What made you decide to go to DTS?
It was a total leap of faith. I knew nothing about DTS before visiting campus (and the city) for the first time in June 2010. My mentor was familiar with the school and encouraged me to seek out the programs here. She, her husband and I drove 21 hours from Baltimore, MD, and the minute we drove into the city, I was in love. Having lunch with the professors was probably the most impressive aspect of my first DTS visit.
What do you do on your day off?
On a good day off, I'm curled up in bed with a good book or a funny movie.
What are your favorite foods?
What is your favorite television show of all time?
The Cosby Show. I always wished I was Rudy!
What is the best part about working in the DTS admissions office?
Being part of a work environment that values the power of prayer, both for each other and for the work we do everyday.
What is your favorite piece of literature?
Poetry. Anything by Langston Hughes is great.
What is your favorite musical artist/group/genre of music?
Jazz, R&B and heavy metal.
Who is the person you admire most and why?
My grandmother. She helped raise me and always took care of me as if I were her child.
Who is your favorite Bible character and why?
If you could have superhero powers, what would they be?
I think I'd want Wonder Woman's powers. That chick can do almost anything.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
