The Kregel Bible Atlas

Tim Dowley Kregel Publications, London October 30, 2002
Purchase

This atlas, published in London and distributed in the United States by Kregel Publications, includes eighty remarkably precise and colorful computer-generated maps of Palestine, the Near East, and the Roman world. The atlas also includes forty photographs and about a dozen illustrations and diagrams. Helpful commentary discusses the events and people in each era of Bible history. Dowley’s dates of biblical events follow the chronology generally accepted by Bible scholars. One exception is the date of the Exodus, which the author gives as around 1280 B.C. (pp. 21, 64). Many evangelicals opt instead for the early date of 1446 B.C. Using this atlas as one studies the Bible will help make the Scriptures “come alive.”
