DTS Passes YouTube Milestone with 1,000+ Videos

by Dallas Theological Seminary on October 28, 2013 in News

DTS passed a YouTube milestone this fall with the release of its 1000th video, a number that reflects the Seminary's ongoing commitment to provide resources and theological content to the public.

With nearly 2,500 subscribers, DTS's YouTube channel has logged more than half a million page views since it launched in spring 2012. The channel features chapel messages, episodes of The Table Podcast, inspiring stories of students and alumni, and clips from recent conferences and events.

Both on YouTube and iTunes, The Table has been a key part of the Seminary's Cultural Engagement Initiative that launched last fall. In this weekly podcast, Dr. Darrell Bock, executive director for cultural engagement, interviews Christian leaders and theological experts on timely topics such same-sex marriage, the new pope, the historical Adam, and many others.

So what is the most-watched DTS video on YouTube? That honor goes to Chancellor Charles Swindoll's chapel message "When God Closes a Door," with nearly 16,000 views. (Before moving to YouTube, the most popular video hosted on the DTS website was Tommy Nelson's chapel message on burnout and depression.)

Thank you for helping the DTS Media Production team share the Seminary's resources with others. Join us on YouTube to view recent Arts Week chapel messages by Ken Myers and the latest Table episodes on international Christianity.
