Conference: Critical Conversations on Identity & Gender

In a time when cultural norms are shifting rapidly, medical and pastoral care is facing a daunting task. Theology, science, legal counsel, and pastoral care are all required in our discussions about transgenderism and choices about sexual preference. As Christians, how do we speak effectively and graciously to those who need care and to members of society?

In this conference, we will explore the implications of these discussions on sexuality and gender in public life and the medical system while providing spiritual care in a world where people of faith are called to care for patients with whom they may disagree. Learn about relevant scientific research, how legal perspectives shape pastoral care, and how to offer moral support when people face difficult life transitions.
