Terms of Agreement - Dallas Theological Seminary

Acceptance of Terms:

The services that Dallas Theological Seminary (“DTS”, “DTS”, “dts.edu”, or “SITE”) provides to you, (“USER,” “USERS”, “USER’S”, “YOU”, or “YOUR”), are subject to the following TERMS OF AGREEMENT (“TOA”). DTS reserves the right to update the TOA at any time without notice to the USERS. You are solely responsible for your use of the SITE and for ensuring that your use complies fully with the provisions of the TOA. The most current version of the TOA can be reviewed by clicking on the “TERMS OF AGREEMENT” hyperlink typically located on the SITE homepage.

Service Limitations:

DTS reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, limit, or discontinue any aspect, content, or feature of the SITE, as well as any aspect pertaining to the use of the SITE. If you do not agree to the provisions of this TOA or at any time are not satisfied with this SITE, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue your use of this site immediately.

Email Policy:

DTS email services is a permission-based system. USERS may only use these services to send email to recipients who have voluntarily joined these services. The use of DTS email services and addresses to send unauthorized, unsolicited, or unwanted email is prohibited. If you have received unwanted or unsolicited email sent via this SITE, please report abuse to [email protected]. The transmission of unsolicited commercial email is expressly forbidden to and through this SITE. All SITE transmitted information is only intended for the original USERS of these services. Retransmission of any of the material sent from this SITE is strictly prohibited.

Privacy Policy:

At DTS option, DTS records the personally-identifiable and non-personally-identifiable information obtained via the SITE. We do not sell, share, or rent this information to anyone or any entity, and access to this information is explicitly restricted to employees of DTS who have a specific, job-related need for this same information. In addition, this SITE is protected to help prevent unauthorized access by all others. Further, DTS reserves the right at all times to disclose any material or information as necessary to satisfy any law, regulation, or US federal order. DTS reserves the right to collect, use, and distribute demographic data about you, the USER, and your use of the SITE in forms that do not identify you individually or reveal your personal identity.

Content Use Policy:

You, the USER, will use the SITE and any content, material, or information found on the SITE solely for lawful, non-commercial, and personal purposes. You shall not upload to, distribute to, or otherwise disseminate through this SITE any material or information of any kind that is libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, abusive, or otherwise violates any law or infringes or violates any rights of any other person or entity, or contains a solicitation of funds, advertising, or a solicitation for goods or services. You, the USER, warrant that any material or information that you make available through the SITE, including, for example, postings to discussion areas and forums, is solely your original work, or that you have all necessary rights to make the material or information of any other person or entity available on the SITE. You will be solely responsible for the content of any material or information that you make available through the SITE. You will also be liable for any damage resulting from making any material or information available through the SITE. By making any material or information available through the SITE, you automatically grant to DTS a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and non-exclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and sublicense any such material or information (in whole or in part) and/or to incorporate it in other works regardless of form, media, or technology. By making any material or information available through the SITE, you also grant to USERS other than yourself the right and license to access, view, store, or reproduce your material and information for that USER’S personal, private, and non-commercial use. DTS has no obligation to, and does not and cannot, review every item of material or information that you and USERS other than yourself made available through the SITE, and DTS is not responsible for any content of this material or information. However, DTS reserves the right to delete, move, or edit any material or information that it deems, at its sole discretion: unacceptable, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, abusive, or otherwise in violation of any law or that infringes or violates any rights of any other person or entity.

Posting to the SITE by any authorized USER reflects their own thoughts and opinions. USERS do not represent the official positions or policies of Dallas Theological Seminary. Therefore, USERS assume responsibility and liability for the content they have been authorized to add to the SITE.

Warranty:

Any use of this SITE will be at the USERS’ sole risk. DTS assumes no liability whatsoever as a result of your use of these services, and makes no representation as to the capability, quality, performance or suitability of the services for use with any other software or for any other purpose whatever. The SITE services are provided “as-is” and without warranty. Warranties are neither expressed nor implied. DTS makes no claims of SITE fitness for a particular purpose. Accuracy and reliability of the delivery systems is NOT the responsibility of DTS. All standard disclaimers also apply.. These services are for the sole use of authorized USERS who have agreed to abide by the TOA. Opinions or statements expressed on DTS SITES are not necessarily the opinions of Dallas Theological Seminary. DTS neither supports nor endorses any vendor, OEM, brand name, registered name, author, publisher, ministry, or services: referenced, used, listed, posted, installed, or licensed by DTS.
